Tye Tribbett & GA Worldwide

Tye rushing to the stage we were right on the aisle so we got first dibs on the pics! I personally love his dread! Hang-time game is definitely on point!

My mom couldn't figure out how to work the camera at first so Tye's responds sarcastically, "all you gotta do is press that big button on the top" lol after she couldnt get a clear shot he says, "naw see you gotta take another one because that one is gonna b blurry" What celeb do you know that is gonna take his time out to school yo mama on how to take a pic :) lol

We have just come from something that I have never experienced in my life. Real talk. "The Crazy Praise Showcase" which featured Tye Tribbett & GA.  Tye and GA (which is his group) gave us a mini concert, and they definitely came wit it! Im not gon lie I thought that this was gon be borderline wack because it was at a church not a stadium or something, I was in for the surprise of a lifetime. This was a worship concert and the spirit of God was definitely in the building. Tye did something that I thought was vital in this service. He told the audience that worship is giving a sacrifice to God for the things that he has gotten you through. Worship should be measured by the sin, so don't judge somebody for breakin out into a crazy praise thinkin "o she extra" or "now she know she doin too much" because you don't know what God has gotten he/she out of. This concert/showcase was truly a blessing. I sho nuff got my praise on. And since yal mi ppl and I encourage honesty and expression of self, I will be completly honest and tell you that this was one of the few times that I have really broken out into a real praise. The youth of LCT were gettin it in! Bleeeee dat!

The Bible talks about David dacing out of his clothes from praising the Lord! Praise makes the big guy smile. It invites the lord into a place. I love how GA and Tye dress in regular, fashionable clothes they look fab all the time. This is important because some people feel out of place when they go around church people because some of us are stuck up and high sididdy,  but GA invites all people, and that's what it's all about!

Praisin GOD to that Bounce Beat: Gospel Go Go

For those of you who have no idea what go go is. I would first advice you look it up because I surely don't know enough about it to school you on it. But will tell you what I know from my "Go Go Head" friends. It is a new funk genre of music that includes the use of insturments such as cow bells, congos, bass, electic guitar, and keyboards, etc. It was originated in Washington D.C. and has spread to Maryland and Virginia also which is known as the DMV. Chuck Brown is titled the Father of Go Go. << enough of the History lesson.

Gospel Go Go, to my understanding, is a very new thing it is regular go go music that played to gospel lyrics. I love the concept. Its creative, unique, and of course DOPE!

It's crazy how I am a lover of raw hip-hop and gospel music, yet I am just recently introducing myself to the gospel hip-hop world! Im loving it thus far. It was an amazing feeling to actually go onto youtube and see brothas with real videos not the bootleg joints lookin like the  "chicken noodle soup" video. This artist is known as "The Ambassador"

Where Would I Be?

Da' T.R.U.T.H. Is what the world knows him by. He has broken barriers in the gospel as a dope lyricist who gets into the minds of young people while preaching the words of his father. He has recently won a stellar award (congrats!) and word on the street is he has a new album in the works! I am new to the hip-hop gospel world and I am truly amazed at how god can use people to get to a different kind of audience that is truly in need of his word.

This particular song reflects some of the trials that this ambassador for christ has been going through. There have been some rumors about Infidelity or “moral indiscretions” on his part. These rumors have been proven true through a public apology that he has put on the front of his website http://www.datruth.net/
I commend this brother for recognizing his sins and making it right with God first, his wife and his family second, and then his fans. He has a big impact on the lives of many youth in the army of the lord, and the fact that he set an example of repentence such as this one shows true manhood. We all sin and come short of the will of God. We are not to judge any man, and I certainly aint judgin my brotha! Im not saying that it's right but he made it right.
